This book is annoying. It's a book written for people that know nothing about motherhood or babies.
It's a simultaneously neurotic and incompetent/uninformed new mother that apparently didn't ready any baby books. Who doesn't have a pump by the time the baby arrives? Who is shocked by the idea that you might not be able to exclusively breastfeed? Also, the rhetoric that formula is evil is super harmful.

Ask Jenny decide she has to move on with her life that Gardner is gone since he has not responded to her letter. She and her best friend Maxine Maria. I can’t remember open up an antique store together.
Then 1 night Gardner is there because he just found the letter that she had written, & that was the end of the book
It was a nice pallet cleanser short story but I hated that she slept with Dean multiple times!

Dan‘s parents were paying for Jen’s livelihood so she could be a stay at her mom but threatened Dean if he did not step up & be a dad they were going to cut him off so he proposes with the original ring because the money he had intended to buy her a new ring with for a new start he had to use for band equipment. Obviously she kicked his ass to the curb.
She tries to find Gardner, but he is gone. House has sold.

Gardner is divorced because according to him, he was not a good husband and his ballerina wife had an affair with the dentist now married didn’t have two children
Gardner is a friend to Jenny and they finally go on a date and he kisses her and that night Dean shows back up
And moment of weakness, Jenny sleeps with loser Dean night after night, and Gardner puts his project house for sale and leave Dallas
