Status Updates From Flood Warning (New Windmills)

I read this when about 9 or 10 years old and could not remember its title or author. All I remembered was a couple of character names, so after quite a lot of research, I have found it! Starting it today, will it bring back childhood memories?

I am loving this. I first read it as a 13 year old in school. I loved it then, and am still enjoying it 30 years later.
