One look at this book and I already know that I would love it. It reminds me of someone I know who loves road trips, hiking, and national parks. What adventures we had. If I could, I’d go again in a heartbeat.

Had so much potential but failed
What audience?!
Disgraceful choices of content or maybe lack of fact checking such as "The Thompson Indians of western Canada", the cat track is wrong and the other tracks are so poorly illustrated I had to really work to decipher the squirrel tracks! Encourages picking/foraging without any real guidance.
Illustrations of same 2 boys repeated often so far. Few girls shown outside

I'm in the summer section where they tell you tips for great things to do in the summer. They give you information and tutorials for how to do things. This one is to look in a rock ponds at the beach.

I past the spring and all-year round tutorials. This is really good for adventures in nature. So I want to make some of the things in the book or try to do some. I want to climb a tree. I also want to make a tent in the woods. Some day soon I will.
