This book has quite the addictive quality. I'm not understanding/having to look up quite a bit of the naval jargon, but I'm learning something, that's for sure. This book might just get me into the 1496-1815 period of history that has never truly gripped me.

I'm enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would. I thought it might be a slog, but I was going to give it a shot to give myself some variety and get out of my literary comfort zone. Now there is a pretty good chance I'll continue with the series.
