This book is weird

"I didn't like that word - childhood - conjured up, or rather, I didn't like the way most people used it: that presumption of innocence and starry-eyed wonder. The only good thing about childhood is that no one really remembers it, or rather, that's the only thing about it to like: this forgetting."

Reminds me of when i was in high school and i'd do a lot of thinking. the protagonist does a lot of thinking in this book. but it's simply lovely. in a stalker way. :P
