Status Updates From The Dispossessed

I dread reading this. Yet I continue because the ideas themselves are interesting. Realistically, I expect to finish it sometime in May, reading no more than ten minutes a day. I like the idea of giving a book 100 pages minus your age to capture your interest. Unfortunately, I am the kind of reader who feels compelled to finish what I start even if it takes years, or for this one... decades it seems.

I’m honestly having so much trouble keeping track of the flashbacks and when we’re back to the present. Putting it down for the moment

The storyline and characters feel a bit dull. There’s a lot of focus on defining sociopolitical behaviors/ideologies amongst differing worlds through dialogue which is basically the book. The protagonist is an oddball no matter where you put him. Regardless of his roots in an anarchic society, his journey is compelling and relatable, so that’s what’s keeping me engaged!
