Status Updates From Bright Red Fruit

Lord, this kid is so naive/stupid it's hard to read.

I am currently reading this book in public and struggling to fight back tears at how complex Samira’s relationship is with her mother. I wasn’t sure about the format of this book before (the lines are like poems, texts, and emails) but it really allows you to cut straight to business lol.

I liked this book even though I usually don’t like books in verse. This has definitely been by favorite book in verse that I have read. I loved the poetry and the plot line.
