Status Updates From The Corpse

Three corpses before page 75 sounds promising, but this Carter Brown mystery was just meh. The PI, Al Wheeler, was a wise cracking sleuth who, unlike Brown’s other detective, Rick Holman, was a sex-starved, Scotch swilling gumshoe with a lackluster sense of humor. Still, it was a decent ride with an adequate ending as payoff.

3 stars. not as formulaic as other Al Wheeler investigations and had a little more continuity to Wheeler and the bit players. oh and every women was curvy and willing. nothing new there. full review soon.
