A rip roaring sucess of a start. I hope we get to see more of the barrow's pact individually as they don't really seem to get individual time in the narrative rn. Alyssa's story is engrossing and heartfelt. Great to be back

Really good so far although I was hoping for more Umhra and Nicholas

This series has become such a comfort read for me. I love the feeling I get when I'm reading a Jeff Speight story. So much like the Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms books I loved so much in my earlier fantasy reading days. Can't help but get caught up in the nostalgia of it all.
