They were really doing ANYTHING before the internet lmao

during my brief attempt at a university education i took an anatomy course complete with a lab portion and we also had a ceremony when the donated bodies reached the end of their (lab) lifespan for the students and families, just like she describes in the book.
(i had an exam that day so i did not get to go but from what i hear, they’re really good at honouring the donors)

Pretty sure I’ve read this at some point but Mary Roach is just top tier so I don’t mind
