The 3rd book of the perfect collection is mainly concerned with the fate if the genetically engineered spores the Dorok used as weapons and the Ohmu. A deeper side of the Wormhandlers is revealed, as well as the secret if the sea of corruption. We get a chilling glance at the terrifying God Warrior, the main weapon used in the seven days of fire that ended the world. I almost don't want the story to end, again!

The second volume delves further into the Dorok culture and just what exactly the Dorok Holy Emperor has released from the crypts at Shuwa. The reader is also treated to a small side story with the Valley supporting cast (Asbel, Yupa, Mito). I'm reminded as I read through it again just how much work this story must have been to put together. No level of detail is shirked. Astounding complexity.

The first volume introduces the reader to world of Nausicaä in the background while focusing on the titular Princess. Near the end of the book, some of Miyazaki's supporting cast take on a larger role, supplanting Nausicaä as the focus for a few pages. Fantastic stuff.
