Tally follows Shay to The Smoke in order to get information on it for The head doctors to do her surgery. She finds David there, who expresses his knowledge for what they are doing to people in the city. When the doctors come to the smoke to view this, it's known that one of the head doctors at the smoke had come up with a cure for the surgery to still have your intelligence and to have the surgery.
