Status Updates From Mary Todd Lincoln: A Biography

Slowest book ever, but now I’ve invested this much time. Not the best writer.

248-Possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. The writing is horrible, I feel like I’m reading the author’s random notes from research sloppily gathered into topics for chapters. Why did I have to read so many pages about Todd genealogy and the founding of Lexington and yet there’s a PARAGRAPH about Lincoln’s assassination?! There’s not even a mention about the other murder plots of that evening.

Excellent! Much of it reads like historical fiction so it keeps one intrigued with the storylines.

Finished. What a sad life. She was not crazy as so many people seem to think. Just misunderstood and filed with grief from a sad life.
