Ok, Sloane Crosley. You are not as witty and quirky as you seem to think you are. Early 20-something me would probably be a little more forgiving, but early 20-somethinge was reading Miranda July, David Sedaris and the Chelsea Handler essay collections and thought those were damn funny.
Funny is not how I would describe this. Not even close. I really dont want to DNF, though. Time to power through.

I seem to be drawn, lately, to the books that were ubiquitous during my time as a bookseller at Borders (2007-2011). This book - all of Sloane Crossley's books - were just everywhere at the time.
I can already tell that I would have immensely enjoyed this back then, when I was in my early 20s. These kind of books hit a bit different after age 40...
