Status Updates From Digenes Akrites

What an intro, nearly a quarter of the book. I need to take a break and digest it before diving into the text,

Still in the introduction. Still pretty dense, but the story of how a single epic was distilled from seven different manuscripts found in 4 different countries in different centuries is utterly fascinating.

A pretty dense introduction so far, but fascinating. I haven't used a dictionary so much since the first time I read Uberto Eco. lol
