It's interesting to note, too, that the English-language & Arabic summaries were presented differently. I liked having the two, slightly different presentations of the same material. It was also quite helpful to be reacquainted with the meanings of most of the recurring Arabic grammatical terms.

Lesson one is a well-timed review of declension & conjugation, along with a preview of a few new things to come. It's is the first chapter in the three volumes to take this new format. It ain't exciting, but now's a fine time for that revision, & the big picture. In fact, it calls attention to one thing that's quite useful, but has been missing from the books so far: the big picture of Arabic grammar.
