Idk, I'm just a lady, not a Buddhist icon, but advice like 'don't feel hatred and aggression towards oppressors cause it brings more negativity into the world' and 'don't cultivate a sense of right and wrong' is not really useful advice 😅

Disappointing, but Chodron tips her hand when she mentions compassion and 'less privileged people'. It feels like this book is directed at truly privileged people and not precarious people. All the examples she gives are mundane and superficial. This doesn't seem helpful for processing all of the horrifying shit happening in the world.

Not sure I'm ready to abandon hope and embrace hopelessness, lol. I get it in theory, but it just feels very fatalistic to me.

Not sure I like the concept of 'spiritual warrior'. Also, it feels like a very individual approach, when my issues (and many other people's) are systemic. So we'll see!
