Status Updates From Vivir la vida

Where our protagonist falls in what seems to be platonic love with the widow of her husband and travels to lots of places.

The protagonist gets to travel, loses her job as a writer and becomes immersed in depression in her home with soda and potato chips. I like how it chains and references events that happened at the beginning of the story.
The character then goes to the beach and gets a job, which also leaves and rain falls. This part reminded me a little of a 100 years of solitude, which I enjoyed a lot.

Pretty weird turn of events, with the protagonist ending in a psychiatrist and then gaining fame as a writer. Then she leaves it and seems to be on a path to madness.
I'm surprised about the way she takes decisions, a bit irrational but then again, the world in the story seems to be so too.

From loss to a life of luxury but also lots of forbidden things. She then leaves to work and starts getting more used to how to live.

A really tragic start, born from lack of understanding about the customs of society. Susana ends up suffering in a loveless marriage, then by being chewed by the city and finally recovering at hard work.
