The building of a nation told by a writer who really grasped history in it's finest detail.

The books stood still and seemed to say "We can speak to you-open the covers and put your eyes on our letters and you will find we speak- we only seem to be silent." - p.173 - So very beautiful the words in this book that you don't want to miss a thing as the words to speak to you!

Once we got to the history, it was very captivating. I love the realistic descriptions of how life was in the 1700s and on." I hope I can do a little better.
