Status Updates From An Introduction to Philosophy

This book feels like entering a Wikipedia rabbit hole at 2:00 am. But infinitely better, since Maritain forces you to make an actual intellectual effort. You read 4 pages, and he has already connected Hinduism with Theosophy, Schopenhauerian pessimism and Spinozan ethics. If you don't get it, Maritain has you covered: there's a half-page worth of footnotes waiting for you.

Probably not a good midnight read, though.
