Thoroughly enjoying this so far. “The Signalman” was amazing, as was the inspiration behind it. Who knew Charles Dickens could write something so creepy?

Open window - not at all scary, not even a spine tingler. More like a jackass episode, or whoever those TV pranksters are.

The Outsider (Lovecraft) - Divorced from their driving need to consume brains, are zombies the loneliest people? Lovecraft says YES.

The Tell Tale Heart (Poe) - Does it get better than this? Not much. I always imagine the narrator with Anthony Perkins's face. Not crazy, not a bit. I wouldn't even harm a fly.

August Heat (Harvey) - meh. Not even slightly spooky, nor does it seem to have anything to say.

The signalman (Dickens) - What should a rational man do with a supernatural warning of impending disaster? Warn others and be ignored and labelled a lunatic? Or say nothing and watch the disaster occur? He is helpless to stop it either way.
