Status Updates From Tess of the D'Urbervilles

Considering I haven’t read any older literature besides what was required of me in school, now that I am reading with intent I am finding some of the Victorian standard English unfamiliar and hard to get through.

Besides that, which honestly is a small issue, I love this book. But poor Tess, I feel so bad for her. I’m excited to see what happens with her parents, who I really don’t like.

This book so far haven't really peaked my interest and I'm actually not even really sure whats happening. I feel like I cant keep myself focused and I keep just staring at the page. Going I forward, I am going to try another book my dad recommended to me.
