Isha Karki's SKIN hit real deep. As a BIPOC person, her story was upsetting on a whole new level.

LOW TIDE JENNY by Bitter Karella is a great example of climate horror occurring in the background. I could see every upsetting moment of this.

Yoooo Warren Benedetto's BLAME is like a found footage office horror story and I loved it!

Just Finished There Is No Easy Way Towards Earth by Jonah Wu: Fascinating. As a trans masculine person I felt this one especially in my chest, a certain familiarity. I too sometimes wish to dig myself just deep enough into the solid ground and lay back to gaze up at the endless void above

Just finished Paradise by Sloane Leong, it’s hauntingly beautiful in its descriptions of the body horror-esque of Kolea’s struggle against and ultimate lost to nature, it reminds me of the 2018 film Annihilation’s transformations though in that film the change from individual to the collective of nature is slightly more peaceful

Finished Eat Your Colors By Sonora Taylor, loved this short story, beautifully reflects how modern beauty and ‘health’ influencers feed into and on your insecurities and struggles with health, for their own gain and business, not to mention how delightfully unsettling the language around the body horror elements are phrased

Blame by Warren Benedetto. I thought the chat/email structure of this might be annoying, but it actually flowed great and was a fantastic story
