Status Updates From The Book of Heroes

Taking a short break from this book. Will try to actually finish it tonight.

Forgot to update last night. Hope to finish this book before bed.

Restarting this book was a good idea. I missed some stuff the first time around. I understand it a little more now. I finished chapter 1. Only 13 more chapters to go.

Uneven pacing

They keep promising me a quest. I'm like 40% through, though, and we're still just describing buildings, characters, and concepts that I'm half convinced make no more sense in Japanese than they do in translated English.

it is an awesome ebook

I don't like how this book is turning out. I can feel awful things coming.

Just started this book, but I didn't think this book would get real so quick. Nothing like tackling bullying and the consequences of bulling in the first 20 pages.

We are all sinners of a kind. By simply living we sin, for we have no other means to live (274).

From 10%-32% has been massive setup with tons of info dumping occurring. I hope it picks up soon.

Getting back into it!

I'm going to set this aside for a second. It's lovely so far but very slow-paced and I'm in the mood for something fast.

I feel really sad that I only have 100 more pages to go....

just noticed that there is a flipbook animation of a flapping book above the page numbers of this book.

While I cannot state how well the translation is in terms of meaning, it is a very smooth one for reading and not at all stilted.

"So you see, it does not matter what form the books take here. All that matters is what they hold." Brilliant!

Densly packed tiny text, but an excellent story!

These pages are absolutely loaded with text. I've never seen a book use the pages so completely. Still good, just feels a bit long at this point.
