genuinely can’t get enough of this audiobook

I loved this book. The ending made me so emotional but glad certain characters are happy now.

The diary part of this book is irritating me. Damn near impossible to read. Possibly lowering the ⭐️

Qué voy a hacer yo cuando, dentro de unos meses, termine de leer todos los libros de King?! Eh?! EH?!

Okay so the story line is good… but I understand lots of the beef with king. Shouldn’t write Black characters. Shouldn’t write teenage girls. Being hit by that van really did change his writing for the better.

The character development is exceptional, the story itslf less so.

"As he draws closer to the man with no face, he realizes an even more awful thing: he's not really there at all. He remembers a Saturday matinee-he couldn't have been more than 6 or 7 years old-when he walked all the way down to the movie screen & stared up at it, realizing for te first time how cheesy the trick was. This is the same, and Peter feels the same sort of stupid surprise now that he felt then." pg208

This is AWFUL. Desperation was so good and this is just a cheap subsitute.

The plot feels better than desperation but I really really loved the characters from the last one so idk I have mixed feelings so far.

Hmmm, I've yet to read DESPARATION, the "pardner" book, and the first, in this loose duology, which together seem to be a suburban based evil-possession terrorizing takeoff of the American Western, Young Guns.
The story itself is fairly simple, including the trademark paranormal twist, still Uncle Stevie can spin a tangled yarn like no other!

:/ This book is good so far but definitely not as good as Desperation... I feel as if I am having to push myself to read this. I know I'm probably going to get some hate for this but it's my opinion alone. Going to finish it up this morning though.

OK, I read Desperation first years ago, and I still remember the story, though I'm rereading it just for chuckles. Anyway, these are the same characters except in a different universe, and I'm having a really hard time remembering that the characters in The regulators have different relationships to each other than they do in Desperation. Wah!!

I’m used to SK dragging ass in the beginning but shit I’m over 1/4 of the way in and I’m annoyed and bored. It must be me. But I’ll see it through.

I’m just gonna keep starting books till something takes hold.
