I'm fucking crying again, and again for reasons having nothing to do with anything sad, or a HEA exactly. Just... It's moving me. I won't say I don't have small complaints, but what even is this book?

(Okay, and yeah it's a bit corny too, and I doubt this part will make me cry the second time I listen, but what the fuck ever.)

I get that, Avi. I really do.

Realizing now that one of my problems with the book is that it sorta perpetuates the idea that not believing in God because of the Problem of Evil, is actually just hating God. Like, this makes a bit more sense in Kyran's case, since he was specifically raised religious and presumably lost his faith, but you get the sense Avi was really only raised culturally Jewish, and probably never believed.

A fucking HEA where the father is convinced by the son to start therapy? God, the smile I'm smiling while doing dishes.

Y'all, this book is literally making me cry, not tears of sadness or happiness, but... Pride? Catharsis? The best kind of heartbreak? God, it's so hard to talk about without straight up saying what the scene is about, but it's beautiful in a way that I literally don't have the word(s) to describe.
