No, I was right. This book reads like some weird mix of my mother and a teen pretending to be in her 30s.
In one page I was informed her miniature dog was kickass 3 times. 3 whole times in one page. TF. Also apparently it gave her a thumbs up??? I hope I misread that, they also apparently have silent communication..... The writing is easy to read, very smooth but I can't do this. DNF

Admittedly it's only at the beginning and I know nothing about the characters yet. But kind of wild for the MC to be so enraged with her 'medium' neighbour that she wants to punch her in the head for just existing. Especially considering the MCs age. I'm hoping there's some back story that explains the misplaced/ enthusiastic and overwhelming emotion.
