Status Updates From Dark Roux

I’ve not even made it through chapter 1 yet. I’m listening on Audible and I don’t know if I’m gonna make it much farther. The man has already pronounced ocher as ockree and, in a fishing scene, called a live well a live well with the short I sound. Not to mention the inflection he uses doesn’t match the cadence of the book. It’s odd.

I am a Louisiana boy and proud of it. I totally love Mr. Leblanc's characters, the way they talk and their heritage. I am a bit too early in the reading for a full review, so.....So far, so GREAT.
