I just wanna say that this book makes me snore but I have to finish it I'm sorry 😭. The concept is interesting , however , between the back and forth in time period and generally poor characterization , it dampens its initial conceptual intrigue.

I can’t stand a self-flagellating protagonist and Asuka is the dictionary definition of it. I did not know it was possible to shove this much wishy-washy insecurity into one narrator. also are we not going to address her mom def being a terrorist and Asuka being like “but I should’ve called her back :(“
