Definitely a worthwhile read for any military officer. I find it interesting that, although the military values tradition, each of the four services was shaped by revolutionaries who recognized the future and built their forces around it. The chapter on Fisher’s scheme was dense and fairly long, but after reflecting on it, I think it offers valuable insights for today’s military.
