Bosola, who is hired by one of the brothers to look for her, sets up the danger that’ll happen. Themes: Power, Control, Betrayal, Patriarchy and Women, Appearances vs Reality and this is a Tragic Play.

The White Devil and Duchess of Malfi positively slapped, very enjoyable to read and more easy to understand than Shakespeare where I find myself constantly flipping back to the appendix. There’s two other plays to go which aren’t as “critically acclaimed” or whatever but I have a feeling they’ll be similarly fun to read
