Second half of the book not so bad.

The narrator makes the characters sound like immature juveniles. These are supposed to be mid aged women. The writing doesn’t help either.

Why is the pacing on this so uneven? Feel like I’m being speed run into a poorly developed romance? Or maybe my tastes are bit more refined and everything seems rushed? Arden just seems like she’s getting way ahead of herself. I’m not liking it. I’m not connecting to the characters and I feel like the romance is being forced upon the reader. Not a good look.
