La storia è molto più accattivante del primo, il worldbuilding viene ampliato. A volte troppo descrittivo, come il primo.

Vado molto spedita perché la storia mi sta prendendo di più ma continuo a non approvare la scelta di avere Helena a raccontare gli eventi. Io voglio essere nella testa di Vonvault e di bressinger, chissenefrega di Helena xD

i dont know if im thinking about it too hard but I feel like Helena has SO much internalized misogyny and i also feel like there is no way this book passes the Bechdel’s test despite the main character being female SIGH i kinda want to dnf just based on that but the story is interesting. ITS GIVING MAN WRITING WOMAN 😭

In a book that is very dark and bleak Heinrich killing and bringing a Gull to Helena as if he were a cat, then essentially playing fetch with it, had me laughing my arse off.

Holy moly this book is WILD.

Picking this back up because I can’t stop thinking about how good it is. The icky romantic bits better have a point.

LOVING THIS. The necromancy, the underworld…such a fun time. Keeps me guessing. Can’t wait to keep reading
