wow i wish all history books were written this way

i never read books this long. i initially thought it was a fiction book. it's a history book and memoir. I'm learning alot about my culture! it's getting even more interesting too.

I like that I’m learning a lot about history. I think this is based on accurate events in history but I think it’s telling a story about his mom’s life and his life as a way to bring light to ideas regarding American history and the ideologies that make up America.
