I have a soft spot for books about bookshops.

Oh god. I wanted to like this so much. I'm on the struggle bus. What's happening. I came on here ready to say that I'm having a hard time enjoying it because it's very apparent this is written by a man. Wow. I just looked at the authors name, nope. What's happening? Okay I can't decide right now if I'm DNFing, muddling through to see if I can handle this tone, or pausing for now to maybe come back to it later.

I have found a new favorite author. I heard people complain that the store owner is just grumpy but he's conveyed with such nuance and care. I really love her style.
