Super into the art and story so far!

I love the cover art so much! And I know I’ll be thinking about some of the stories for some time. I loved every second of this! And I absolutely cannot wait to read Children of the Sea!

The art is wonderful! I love Igarashi Daisuke’s art style so much. The way he draws the eyes is just chef’s kiss. The panelling work and rhythm of the scenes is so good. It is very cinematic. All the quiet scenes with animals and plants added so much atmosphere to the story, it’s masterful. 4.5/5 stars (rounded up to 5)

those who wield its power and those who are affected by it. And the fact that it has a price. I also loved the exploration of witches and diffeeent types of magic from different places and cultures. Magic is neither good nor evil after all. The inclusion of anti-colonialsm themes were a plus.

I wanted to read Children of the Sea first but since I was in the mood for something short I decided to read Witches instead. And I’m oh so glad that I did. I did not know what to expect going in and I was pleasantly surprised to see that not only the art is beautiful but the story is great too. I loved the concept of magic being so entwined with nature, and I loved the exploration of magic and its effects through
