Status Updates From Lust, Loathing and a Little...

Sophie set up Kane since he was listening to her in the house and made it seem like she called his mom. He came running from a van he had been listening from. She coaxed him into signing the house to her. Scott sent it off to the post office. Kane confessed to killing his dad, Oscar. He didn’t say he killed Enrico though. Marcus came by to see Sophie and saw Kane in her house and called the cops. He was arrested.

Kane had Sophie’s entire house bugged with listening devices. That’s how he knew her family had told her about his mother and that she didn’t know who she was from contact beyond the grave. He also had speakers in the floor boards which is how she had been hearing footsteps. Anatoly tells her she has to tell the police. That Kane can be arrested for recording her but it would mean she would lose the house.

Sophie invites Scott over and tells him about Venus. Kane had Scott bait Sophie so Kane could get his revenge for his Mom. Sophie thinks Venus is the killer to keep people from telling her secret. Scott is pissed when Sophie tells him about Venus and insult her when Anatoly shows up & punches him in the face. Sophie is filling in Anatoly about the strange things in the house when he figures out it’s been bugged.

Scott found Zach at a bar he told him about. Al is pissed at Lorna. Venus kicks the family out since Al doesn’t believe in ghost. When Sophie and Marcus leave he tells Sophie that Venus used to be a man. He could see her scar from the Adam’s apple removal. Sophie goes over to Amelia to ask more about Venus’ brother. Venus didn’t have a brother. She transitioned. Kane knew this. It’s his leverage over Venus

Sophie has a tape recording of her Dad telling Kane’s mom to stop stalking him. You can hear her saying they are meant to be together that the voices tell her. Kane is stalking Sophie and threatening to kick her out of the house if she doesn’t make contact with his mom. Lorna calls Sophie saying she found a suicide note from Zach and he is missing. Scott finds him and he is drunk.

Maria calls Sophie and wants to have breakfast. Maria tells her Venus is Kane’s nemesis. He can’t stand her. Lorna told Maria about what Enrico did to her daughter but Lorna didn’t want Enrico dead but wanted him to suffer while alive. Enrico had trained his parrot to lock the chain on the door. The parrot could unlock it but wasn’t as good at that command. Only Maria and Enrico knew the commands.

Leah & Sophie’s mom stop by the house. Her mom tells her about a time Sophie forgot. Sophie’s dad and her mom split up when Sophie was little. They worked things out and renewed their vows at the house Sophie is trying to buy! Kane’s mother was Sophie’s dad’s receptionist. She and Oscar let them use the house until Oscar left Andrea and kicked Sophie’s family out. Andrea was in love with Sophie’s dad.

After Sophie found pictures of her self as a child with her dad and other pictures of her dad with Kane’s mom she freaked out. But right after Marcus came running upstairs saying Kane and Scott are at the house. They hide in the bathroom and Sophie overhears Kane say he is changing the terms on her escrow agreement. Scott goes to the bathroom and catches her and Marcus but helps them get out.

Sophie and Marcus go over to Kane’s house. A construction worker lets them in thinking Marcus is Kane. Sophie goes upstairs to look around. She finds Kane’s bedroom and starts going through some photo albums. She finds a photo album full of pictures of her!! Did not see that coming!

Sophie felt her dad’s presence at her house. We still don’t know what connection there is her mom seemed freaked about. Anatoly come over to fix things with Sophie. She realized she loves him but didn’t say it. The detective came by to ask more questions. He thinks Maria did the murder. Marcus came over and he and Sophie are on their way to Kane’s house to get some incriminating information.

Sophie takes Zach to an oxygen bar & Marcus is there. Marcus wants to help Sophie with all this PI work to keep her safe. Sophie asks Zach why he hates Enrico so much. He says he raped his sister & got her pregnant. She tried giving herself an abortion & she died. He says his parents didn’t know anything. Sophie is going to Kane’s house to find info and Marcus is coming to help and pretend to be her physic.

Sophie goes to see Maria. If she can get some info from her on Enrico that no one knows she can make it look like he visited her beyond the grave to Kane. Lorna & Zach are there. Maria tells Sophie she & Lorna found Jasper Windsor’s scythe in Arizona. Zach didn’t like Enrico. Enrico didn’t use his dad’s agency when he opened his latest restaurant. Lorna leaves and Sophie offers to drive Zach to get more info

Jason is bummed about Dena. She has no desire to get back with him. Jason tells Sophie about Venus’ brother who died unexpectedly and maybe she had something to do with it. Amelia (hippie girl from the seance) was going to look into his death so Jason and Sophie go visit her. Venus hated her brother but didn’t kill him b/c he died during surgery. When Sophie leaves Amelia’s Kane is outside but then vanishes.

Sophie calls Jason to get information on Venus, Kane, and Maria. He will only do it if she gets him a haircut with Marcus. Jason tells her that she needs to stay away from Venus because she practices voodoo. Jason wants to get back with Dena. Dena comes walking in the hair salon with Kim, the waiter she and Sophie met.

When Cecile stabbed her to death Miranda grabbed her brooch. Sophie thinks Venus is the one who pinned it to her pillowcase. When Sophie tells Venus this she goes upstairs and takes the brooch and leaves!! She is crazy!

The lights must be short circuiting. When the light comes on in Sophie’s room she sees the brooch Oscar was holding in his hand when he died and it’s pinned to her pillowcase. Then the doorbell rings. It’s Venus. She tells Sophie about the woman who owned this house first. Her name was Miranda. She stole a man named Vincent away from a lady named Cecile and Cecile stabbed Miranda to death.

Sophie takes her mom to see the house. When they pull up to the house her mom looks shocked and says she can’t go in. Her mom says she is just like her dad. There is history with this house but her mom wants to go home and doesn’t tell Sophie anything. Anatoly gets hired by Maria to find out who killed Enrico. Anatoly tells Sophie he doesn’t want her in this house b/c Kane and Scott are up to something.

Scott comes by the next day and lets Sophie know that Kane isn’t happy about the news. The news stations reported about her finding Enrico’s dead body and now he isn’t sure she isn’t a suspect. He has a lot of questions but Scott doesn’t think he will buy the truth. So Sophie says she will find the killer and Kane will know it wasn’t her. So now she has to solve another murder.

Enrico’s throat was cut with a scythe. Maria said the scythe belonged to Jasper Windsor who died 300 years ago. she thinks that who killed Enrico and “haunted” him. While Sophie was lying in bed she heard “say goodbye” again. Her cat heard it too and jumped down and wanted her to follow him. He walked down to the picture of her dad. She keeps feeling like she has to do something but doesn’t know what.

After the seance was over Anatoly came over. Sophie was unpacking. Something seems to be bothering him. Leah hung a picture up on the mantel that was crooked but now it’s straight. Sophie is starting to freak out. The picture is straight and then she heard something say “say goodbye”. She might be haunted. Maria came by and was worried about Enrico. They all go over to his place and find him dead!!

Sophie is hosting a seance meeting per Kane’s suggestion when discussing her buying the house. One of the members is a famous chef in San Francisco. He is catering the food for the meeting but is running late. When Sophie calls to check on him he says he is being haunted and then it sounds like he fell. When the other members arrive and they begin Sophie hears someone say, “say goodbye” but no one was talking.

Scott and Sophie go to look at the house again. Kane is there. He is a strange man. He wants Sophie to have this house hoping his parents will be able to connect to him through Sophie. He wants Sophie to live in the house as a trial for 2 weeks to be extra sure she will be respectful to his mother’s house. To make it fair and not just kick her out if it doesn’t workout he is willing to pay her $20,000.

Sophie invited Dena to her meeting with Scott to see what Kane will do with his dad’s house. at the restaurant Dena gave the waiter, Kim, her number. Scott arrives and tells Sophie Kane will give her the house at the first low offer but she has to agree to join his San Francisco Specter Society for life! It’s a group of people who meet twice a month to talk to ghosts. He feels she is connected to his dad now.

Anatoly came over to the house after Sophie called him and told him what happened to Oscar. When he comes over he meets Scott and finds out he is Sophie’s ex-husband. Scott is trying to make Anatoly jealous when a gorgeous looking woman walks in to Scott and hugs him. Her name is Venus and she is Scott’s girlfriend. She knew Oscar and can feel dead spirits. The chances of Sophie getting the house now are low.

While Scott was showing Sophie the Victorian house he is selling he kept making comments that the furniture was moved around and different from when he was there in the morning meeting with Oscar. When they went upstairs to one of the bedrooms, they find Oscar dead in the bed. He was clutching a broach necklace and pictures of the old furniture were scattered around the floor. Oscar thought the place was haunted.

Sophie is house hunting when she runs into her ex husband, Scott. He wants to make amends and doesn’t want Sophie to hold a grudge against him anymore. Sophie was married to him for 2 years and they have been divorced for 10. She divorced him b/c he spent all her inheritance on booze, drugs, and the women he was sleeping with. He tries to make up for it by offering her a brand new listing.Victorian under a million

Scott Colvin is Sophie’s ex husband. He is a realtor who sold her a Victorian house in San Fran that Sophie thinks is haunted!
