I am having a hard time relating to the stories as mystery stories. The main mystery that is common to the ones that I have read so far is that the conclusion of the story is left as a bit of a mystery. What happens next? A bit reminiscent of Joyce Carol Oates short stories.

This is not my usual kind of mystery book, or any kind of book at all for that matter. Not sure why I ended up with it, but probably because of the name Sara Paretsky on the cover. She was the final selector of the stories in the book and I am fond of her work. After three stories, I am impressed by what I have read. Short stories with interesting non-conclusions to make you wonder!

Some great stories, some misses (or ones I never fully bought in on).
