Status Updates From Bloodborn

I know damn well Marsden is crash the sealing bursting in like “STOP THE WEDDING I OBJECT MINA I LOVE YOU BLAH BLAH BLAH” I JUST KNOW IT!!

Honestly I can’t stand the whole ‘ignoring the terrible things someone said to me’ trope. Her brother literally kicked her out after her bf dumped her and he said “you’re not my sister anymore” and a few weeks later she just forgets about it and is thrilled to see him. Stupid.

Style of writing is kind of irritating me. There’s a lot of random foreshadowing. It’s like the narrator is trying to be mysterious and it’s coming out awkward and cringey. It’s also frustrating that the POV bounces between the two main characters… super confusing.

“Lucy's wrist split where it was brittle and cold, and warm rivers of blood burst forth.
Mina felt weak, needy, alone. She tried to yell for Hawthorne but her breath came out in frozen whorls like icy patterns on windows. “

This whole page is a masterpiece.
