The found family troupe is done so well in this series, I can literally feel the connection between the characters. And I refuse to believe that a certain character is gone forever, I refuse!
The trilogy ended on a very nice spot, but now I hate myself for starting it before it's finished. Because wdym there are 6 books yet to be written 😫
I miss them already 😢

The Addam problem is solved in my mind now I suppose (still a bit miffed about the talla revelation), but overall I can now tell that Addam means just as much to Rune as Brand does, and it helps that Brand loves Addam now too. It was really evident in this book, because they included Addam in everything and the book ended with 3 of them together instead of just Rune and Brand like in the previous books.

This book ended me. Every problem I had with the last one was rectified in this one. I was hooked from page 1, the pacing was just right. The beginning built up a new plot while gave us time to bond with the characters, the middle was dealing with a new threat and ending was a crazy battle, with an enormous loss (I'm tearing up just writing this). Every character got to shine in this and I applaud the writer for that

It was really adorable that Rune proposed, but Brand was the one to put the ring on Addams finger.
So they kinda are like a throuple, except Brand is the only platonic member in the throuple.
I was not thrilled about it when I realized it was a possibility but it kinda makes sense now. I don't know how (because im not a fan of polygamy) but it works. So, I'm starting to accept it.

I was not expecting this death to hit me so hard 😭

At this point, I can't suspect Tower anymore because if he ends up being the bad guy, it would be the craziest betrayal ever. Although he definitely had the means to do it, while being the best friend of Runes father.
Now Ciaran definitely had the means. He's also able to hide from Quinns visions, sees the future himself, and no one really knows him. He has so many secrets.
This series makes me question everyone

I've been trying to keep my eyes/mind open about who in the arcanum could be the one who destroyed Runes life. And it's so difficult because I don't know if this writer has the gall to turn one of the good guys into a villain (Tower, Ciaran). Or will it be someone who is already on thin ice (Strength, Magician). Or maybe even someone we haven't really met (Empress, Devil, Moon etc)

At least Brand has accepted Addam as part of their family and I like how their relationship had developed as well. Also, Brand agrees with me that Addam deserves more

I have to say, I'm really disappointed about the talla reveal. Like what was the reason? It once again makes me sad over the fact that Addam deserves way better than this 😢
