You got to love an author who answers the questions that you as a skeptical reader consistently have.

This book is kind of a demonstration of what happens when an author says to themselves, let me throw every single idea I've ever had into one book and see what happens. And strangely the result is surprisingly good.

With every single book in this series, a constant reoccurring thought I had each time I read another book, was that it’s a solid three stars. Each. But also collectively I suppose.

There were many moments in every book that dipped to one star. All around, it was ok, and meh.

Idk if I’ll read the sequels or spin off books 🤷🏻‍♀️

A thought I just remembered I kept having is the way literally everyone reacts to the fmc’s “look”. Her hair, her style and etc. like it’s crazy outrageous, when it’s not…

So it’s no surprise I felt the same unbothered nonchalance as the fmc whenever crazy shit happened, which really just made those crazy moments not crazy at all. The climaxes weren’t peaked, and it all seemed almost boring.
