Critical reading. I'm curious to see how much the troubled origins of system's theory alters my perception of its potential for emancipation. I write about its upending of prior forms of technocracy (linear, mechanistic, rationalistic) in my thesis, as seen in New Wave sf and in frameworks that emphasise the mutability of systems (Chaosmosis).
