I have finished the stories and personal accounts section of the war. I am moving into the brief victims list section. Some parts the stuck with me: a 9 year old boy not realizing he's permanently blind from bomb shards, a mother holding and attempting to put back the brains of her son, and a boy not having a single memory of his all-dead family aside from his sister. Extremely devastating and enraging to read.

@ I Have No One Left
A couple of stories have stuck with me since my last update. One was the description of dead bodies as "human barbecue." Another was a mother worried about her daughter getting killed by a bomb (she did). Her neighbors initially lied to her about her daughter's death and told the mother needed to go to the hospital. The mother's first reaction was "What food should I make? She must be hungry."

@ The Ache That Doesn’t Go Away
This book is brutal. It often makes my eyes water. The first time I sat down and read this I went through around 50 pages. It fully entrenches you into the indescribable grief that these individuals have experienced through war. It is so beautifully crafted I can’t even begin to explain. I feel so deeply for these people. So deeply it hurts. I recommend this anyone and everyone.
