So far great, but can't finish.

DNF - I couldn’t get past the writing errors ☹️ if an editor went through it and cleaned it up the bones of the story are great.

Also the sex scenes suck. There is basically no foreplay.

So the big bad is dead but the book is only a little over half over?

If I had one thing to tell the author it is ... show don't tell. I feel like I am being given a synopsis and not reading a book. It has a great plot. But the writing is bad. Not the worst I have seen. But this needs serious edits.
