This book has been chock-full of cliches and stereotypes of fantasy adventure books. Girl lives in Woods. Girl is really good at Forest and Bow. Girl's Immediate Family Unit Is Killed. Girl is Actually a Princess. Girl is 16. Girl likes Pants. Girl Needs to Navigate Political Intrigue To Survive and Claim The Throne. Etc Etc. I'm seeing these story beats from miles away. The only saving grace is the culture depicted.
