Status Updates From Wayward (Wanderers, #2)

I really like the premise of this book, and I am not done with it. But I must reflect. Am I supposed to believe that Chuck gave this one dimensional, villainous President super powers?? He can change his hands into power saws?? I loathe this point of view, and I hope there is a reason.
