This started out quirky enough, but then idiotic decisions were made.
Also I was not a fan of the message telling kids of the importance of appearances. If the kid dyes her hair pink I'm out.

Each chapter could be its own stand alone Dark fairytale. While I think it’s a good book, and the story telling is engaging, it feels like it moves at a slow pace for me. Which is common in fairytales to build the setting.

Idk almost 2h in and not the biggest fan so far. I like Evie but it’s a little dull and the clackity is so cliche its not scary :/

I think I’ll continue to give it a shot cuz I love Evie’s grunge little attitude. Shaving an undercut at 12y old is badass
