I have no idea where I’m at but this is a solid DNF. POVs keep switching too much. I can see the vision with it but ultimately that’s what killed it for me.

Ya I know I'm already reading four other books, but this is my nice plastic hard cover from the library- you need one of these on the go at all times. I'm also doing a 1000 piece puzzle in case you wanna know how cool I am.

Three narrators is too confusing. I have no idea who is who.

Not convinced a cop out on sick leave would allow their overly keen, sensational-event hungry neighbour to play sidekick as they do a bit of off-time sleuthing. This cop is a Murder Squad DI after all, not Miss Marple.
So far, an average mystery. Ticks the all boxes, but nothing much else. Rather disappointing after how good Barton's "The Widow" was.

Getting much better now, but still a lot of coinky-dinks even for a village on the south coast of England.

Really liked Barton's "The Widow". This one is far plainer and some of the dialogues are hard to follow, but the cocktail for intrigue has already been mixed and hopefully it'll come off with a bang!

This book is super confusing and has way too many characters. I’m going to continue reading to give it a chance, hoping it gets better..

Oh my god another body has been found, and he was one of the men that was trying to get money from Charlie.

I got the killer wrong. It wasn't any of the people I thought it could be.

This is really interesting now. Someone definitely killed Charlie. But I still don't know whether it was, Dee,(his and Pauline's cleaner) Liam (a tradesman that is married to Dee) or Pauline (his wife) and Bram (Pauline's lover).

Elise found Charlie dead. I wonder who killed him and why.

So many people are caught up in the mystery about Charlie. Did someone make him go missing because they wanted him gone? I'm starting to form theories (which will probably be wrong lol).

This is getting more interesting now. I wonder what Charlie was running from and how many identities he has made for himself.

I have the feeling that this is going to be a three star read. I like it but I'm not really invested in the mystery.

I don't exactly know what this about yet but it seems to have the typical thriller cast so far.

This is my first thriller read in ages but I've been in a thriller mood recently.
