My mind had been wandering so often throughout these reads

On to better and brighter things

I pray to the gods that my mind will quickly forget this unbelievably massive piece of shit that is this author and her writing.

One of them had LITERALLY THE EXACT PLOT of this series with the alien transformation to save the fmc

I still maintain Rawn being the best and most interesting character

And this writing just did him so dirty

Figures, easily the only character I care about and he’s barely on page

The world building is practically nonexistent too

I hardly know any of these main characters after SEVEN HUNDRED FUCKING PAGES

I believe it’s the last one

But surely it can’t be any better than the first two of this series

I feel like shit
At least a third of the reason is surely bc of this shit reading material I’ve forced on myself the last few days

I have so much to rant about but I’m trying to make it short and sweet as I can

Deleting both books from my library right after this
The handful of good moments from each aren’t nearly enough incentive for me to keep them
It just feels like it’s taking up space

This was a disappointing read

The conclusion and epilogue even more so

The little bits of Bethany making an appearance was lackluster

The way this writing dragged the story out was exhausting

And unnecessary

Paused at the very first Rawn pov chapter

About a hundred pages or so left to read

This has been a distraction
I don’t want to get back to real life

Mostly bc they also said there was no satisfying resolution for that shit

Didn’t much care for the rehash of this fmcs pov of the scene of the crime as it were
I don’t care that shes some kind of maybe badass government agent

The first chapter, the intro, arguably the most important part of a story, was shit. LITERALLY

At least another paragraph of another fmc moaning about the stench of cow shit

If theres any takeaway from this series
It’s that you never want to start your story off with your mc in the stink of literal shit
Great way to show the reader how awful this can be.
