Status Updates From Момиче на война

A consistent theme that I have noticed throughout the novel has been the theme of the loss of innocence and childhood. This is shown through Ana when she says, "The more I lied, the closer I came to fitting in" (Novic 136). This shows how Ana feels towards other people and how she feels the need to adapt herself to the experiences surrounding her.
